Why incomplete briefs slow everything.

Speed-to-lead targets assume usable facts. Missing ownership, activity or urgency pushes the file to C/D until clarified.

Minimum facts checklist.

Copy into WhatsApp or the contacts form. Incomplete is fine — mark “unknown” rather than inventing.

  • Investor type — local individual / foreign individual / corporate shareholder / regulated project
  • Ownership — % local vs foreign; number of directors/shareholders; beneficial owners if known
  • Activity — what the company will do in Tanzania (one sentence)
  • Sector overlay — ordinary / mining / tourism / finance / other regulated (or unsure)
  • Structure question — new company / branch / subsidiary / JV (or still deciding — use branch vs subsidiary)
  • Capital plan — rough investment band and source-of-funds note (no bank secrets)
  • Documents ready — passport/ID, address, resolutions, premises proof (yes / partial / none)
  • Banking — need corporate account soon? Any preferred bank?
  • Immigration — work/residence permit needed for a director? (yes / no / unsure)
  • Urgency — decision date, travel date, or “exploratory”
  • Paid entry fit — Readiness Review / Transaction Risk / full package / advise me
