Disease, quarantine and the truck that should not have left
Loading animals from a zone under restriction is how consignments are turned at the next checkpoint. A movement permit is dated and routed. It is not a season pass. Keep the veterinary officer’s paper with the driver. A coworking-office hero photograph was the wrong image for this page; cattle are a field and a checkpoint. Do not buy “a herd in Dodoma” on a video call without a permit path and a holding ground you can name.
Sequence
- Name origin district, destination, and purpose (fattening, slaughter, breeding, export).
- Ask the zonal veterinary office whether the route is open this week.
- Identify the animals as the live rules require.
- Take the movement permit. Then load. Reverse order is a seizure.
- If export, add the destination sanitary certificate and the border post that actually handles live animals.
